NEED A QUALIFIED SAFETY PROFESSIONAL?

There are numerous safety designations available dependent on the country or province. Currently anyone can call themselves a “Safety Professional” which is why it’s best to use designations to help to identify the health and safety education and experience of the individual. An example would be both CRSP and CHSC require continual updates in the form of Continuing Education Units. These can be obtained by attending conferences or taking approved courses pertinent to the safety profession, see the following or visit the Alberta Society of Health & Safety Professionals for more information:

Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) must complete educational components and have suitable experience.
Certified Health and Safety Professional (CHSC) must complete required educational components and have suitable experience.
